Show SW!ICDALE. John Winder has moved to Oak Creek. Wheat is being sown in Rockville; none sown here yet, but we expect to start i5oon. F. D. Gifford had a narrow escape last week. His wagon capsized while coming down the mountain with a load of wood; he saved himself by jumping, and sliding down the mountain on his hands and knees. It strikes me that the County Court has worked a hardship on the people in the Ordinance published in the last issue of The News, especially in regard re-gard to shows, etc. Talk about "Equal rights to all and special privileges to none." Moses Emmett and family ' of Cave Lake, near Kanab, called at Springdale Saturday and stopped over Sunday visiting vis-iting relatives. They left Monday morning for St. George where they will labor in the Temple. We were happily surprised on Saturday Satur-day night by the advent of Elders Hunter and Wilcock, who gave us a feast of good things spiritually. They stayed in Rockville over Sunday. The seeds sown on their first visit has borne some fruit. |
