Show Miss Phoebe Lytle visited with j her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George H. Lytle over the Christmas holidays. holi-days. Mr. and Mrs. AJ Davis of Caliente were Christmas day guests of their mother, Mrs. Roxey S. Romney. Also visiting with Mrs. Romney and her son, Waldo, Friday over Tuesday, was her daughter, Mrs. Cummings Gardner, of Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Crosby who have spent the past week in northern nor-thern Utah with relatives are visiting vis-iting since Tuesday with Mr. Crosby's mother, Mrs. Lena Crosby, Cros-by, on their way home to Los Angeles. Miss Cecile Schmutz is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Schmutz this week. LaVoy Esplin of Orderville visited vis-ited friends and relatives over the Christmas vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Sorenson motored mo-tored in from Fredonia last Friday Fri-day to spend the remainder of the holidays. Representative and Mrs. Albert E. Miller left over the week-end for Salt Lake City to remain over the legislative term. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. J. Milne for Christmas week were Mr. and Mrs. Bud Lamoreaux of Las Vegas and Mr. and Mrs. K. John Roundy of Cortez, New Mexico. Mex-ico. The Roundys returned home Tuesday. Neil Adams returned to Kanab last Friday after spending the week in St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Blake and sons are spending the week with relatives in Veyo. Clarence Ward is spending the holidays in Salt Lake City with his mother, Anna J. Van Orden and sister, Mrs. Steve Jennings. Mr. Jennings is reported in a critical condition in the Veteran's hospital. Miss lone Blazzard returned last Thursday from spending the week in Salt Lake City with her sister, Mrs. Walter Jensen. Mrs. M. K. Anderson arrived from Los Angeles Dec. 21 and will spend the remainder of the winter with her daughter, Mrs. W. W. Cannon. Dwane Schmutz visited over the Christmas week with Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Larsen of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ogden and son, Melvin arrived Wednesday from Richfield where they have visited over the holiday season. Mr. and Mrs. George E. Miles were dinner guests last Friday of their daughter, Mrs. Howard Kleinman at Hurricane. Dr. and Mrs. L. W. McGregor left Saturday for Pasadena to attend at-tend the Rose Bowl game and visit over the New Year. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Whitehead entertained several couples at a New Year's breakfast at their apartment Wednesday. HEWS OF THE COUNTY SEAT Bliss S. Jarvis and his friend, Max Syndegaard, returned to Salt Lake City Sunday morning, having visited since Christmas with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. Jarvis. Miss Roma Snow is at home from school at the B. Y. U., Provo for the holidays. Miss Irene Carter, who recently accepted a stenographic position in Provo, is home with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Carter for the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Lamoreaux and children were also holiday guests of the Carters. Miles Wallace Is at home from Provo for the Christmas holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Evans of Parowan and Mr. and Mrs. Laurel Abbot of Raymond, Nev., were holiday guests of Bishop and Mrs. Arthur Cottam. Mr. and Mrs. William Tell Gubler of LaVerkin visited over Sunday with Mrs. Gubler's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Greg-erson. Greg-erson. Miss Ann Holt will leave Saturday Sat-urday to resume her high school work at Provo. She has been at home for the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Justin Lamb of Pioche, were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Cannon, Mrs. Lamb's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Brent Abbott and son and Miss Enid Webb arrived Dec. 22 to attend the marriage of their sister, Shirley to Tal-madge Tal-madge Chirstensen. Enid remained re-mained to attend the Dixie college the others leaving for Reno Saturday. Returning to the girl's dormitory dormi-tory of the Dixie junior college after spending the holidays at their respective homes are Flora Owens, Geraldine Billings, Lillie Peters from Delta, Jean Alldredge, Norda Anderson, Zella Lovell from Oak City, Delia Bradfield and Emily Brown from Scipio, Elaine Fallis from Hatch, Elda Christensen from Springdale, Syl-va Syl-va Beatty from Pintura and Norma Koch and Nelda Imlay from Hurricane. Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Barker returned Wednesday from spending spend-ing the holidays with relatives in Escalante. Mrs. Anne R. Price entertained at a buffet supper at her home last Saturday evening in honor of Miss Toni Watson, daughter of Mayor and Mrs. D. C. Watson, who returned to San Francisco Sunday morning. Table games followed fol-lowed the supper. Lee Weibel left Tuesday for Salt Lake City where he will spend a few days transacting business busi-ness and visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Birch and three children and Mrs. Ida Adams of Kanab visited Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Atkin. Mrs. Adams is Mrs. Atkin's mother. Dewey F. Kemp and his father David Kemp visited in St. George Saturday on their way to Los Angeles An-geles from Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Asmus, and Dr. E. B. Q'uist of Cedar City, and Miss Florence Prince of New Harmony, visited relatives and friends in St. George over Saturday and Sunday on their way to Pasadena to attend the Rose Bowl tournament. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Draper of Redmond, Utah, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Riding and Mr. and Mrs. Abel Riding of Salt Lake City visited in St. George Monday with Mr. and Mrs. John H. Riding on their way home from attending the funeral of their nephew, Evan Duncan in LaVerkin Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Will Riding and Mr. and Mrs. June Duncan motored over from LaVerkin with them for the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Plunkett returned Monday to their home in Los Angeles, having spent the past ten days with Mrs. Plunk-ett's Plunk-ett's mother, Mrs. Mae Harris and other relatives. Mr. Plunkett has been doing Christmas season photography pho-tography while here. Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Phoenix, daughter Janet, and son Robert were visitors over Dec. 25 and 26 from Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Leavitt and little daughter, Bonnie Rean of Boulder City visited St. George relatives over last Saturday. On Sunday Mr. Leavitt was sustained sus-tained as bishop of the Boulder L. D.
