Show Mr. and Mrs. David P. Terry Celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversary Dec. 25 ROCKVILLE, Utah, Jan. 2. Mr. and Mrs. David P. Terry entertained en-tertained many of their relatives and friends at their home on Christmas day to celebrate their Golden Wedding anniversary. Friends from Springdale, Virgin, Hurricane, St. George and Rockville Rock-ville attended the reception from 2:30 to 9:30 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Terry were married mar-ried in the St. George L. D. S. Temple on December 25, 1890, by John D. T. McAllister. Mr. Terry followed the occupation occu-pation of farming, stock raising and molasses making, gaining a state-wide reputation for excellent excel-lent molasses. Mrs. Terry, who was Phebe Clara Daley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Daley, was born in Angola, New York, and was educated edu-cated in the public schools of New York state. She came to Rockville in 1887 with her mother, Mrs. Ellen R. Daley, a convert to the L. D. S. church. After she had been here a year, she became a member of the church and has been active since in the auxiliary organizations. . Mrs. Terry had fifteen children, eight of whom died in infancy. Among these children were four pair of twins. Mr. and Mrs. Terry have seven living children, 29 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. |
