Show MESQUITE, Nev. Mrs. Daisy L. Reber Reporter Among those attending the family reunion for the Hughes-Burgess families at Pine Valley were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hughes, Sylvan Hughes, Elmer Hughes, Joe Wilson, Wil-son, Leo Hardy and Mack Hardy. Mrs. Elmer Hughes and Mrs. Nelda Houston left Monday morning morn-ing for Salt Lake City. Mrs. Hughes' daughter, Colleen, who has been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Barnett, will return with them. Mr. and Mrs. Earlin Tobler and family of Las Vegas spent Sunday here visiting. The Fireside Circle was held Monday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Hughes. Sunday school officers and teachers, with their partners, were entertained at a melon feast Sunday night at the home of James Pulsipher. Mr", and Mrs. Walter J. Miles and family of St. George were visitors here Sunday. Their two sons, Mar and Donald, who spent the past week at the Fenton Frehner home, returned with them. Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Bowler of Gunlock visited at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Abbott last week. A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Frehner on July 27 at the Mesquite hospital. A wedding shower was held in honor of Mrs. Verl Barnum on Friday. She is the former Nadine Pollock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Pollock. She received many lovely gifts. Mr. Barnum reports for reassignment in the Army on August 1. He has served ser-ved overseas for several months. Miss Caroline Reber of Las Vegas spent the week end here ; visiting with her mother, Mrs. 1 Mary Reber. Speakers at Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday were Leafa Joan Reber, who has recently returned from a mission to the Eastern states, and Mr. Hickman. 1 |
