Show Fine Response Reported For Red Cross Swimming Campaign By MRS. (LAID THOMPSON' Fine response has been given the Red Cross Swim Campaign which was conducted during the past month. There was a record registration of 135 and not withstanding the busy season, 93 stayed with the classes and will receive their credits. Sixty-three of this number num-ber were beginners. Altho adult classes have not yet commenced, many mothers, old and young have taken the opportunity of instruction offered each Tuesdays rental period. Adult classes and Life-Saving classes will be arranged and a complete schedule will appear in next weeks County News. This service is offered free to the public by the local Red Cross and convenient hours will be worked out so busy people who desire this service may take advantage of it. Mark McAllister, swimming instructor, in-structor, deserves credit for his ! faithfulness and fine manner in which he is putting over this work. No day has been too hot nor long for him. The Red Cross wishes to take this opportunity to take this opportunity to express ex-press appreciation to the City for the privilege of such a fine pool in which to put over this service to the public. |
