Show LaYERKIN Pansy L. Hardy Reporter Dr. Franklin Harris, president of the B. Y. U. and who will be president pres-ident of the U. S. A. C in July, and Dr. Walker, head of the division di-vision of Poultry Science at the U. S. A. C. were visitors at the Sanders Bros. Hatchery and turkey tur-key breeding farm. Mr. Sanders mentioned to Dr. Harris that the turkey growers of Southern Utah need the occasional visits from their guests and Dr. Harris' reply was to the effect that they needed need-ed the inspiration received by coming to Southern Utah. Bill, Owen and Ervil Sanders and Reed Wilson recently visited in Southern California with the outstanding turkey breeders of of that section in an attempt to find newer and better methods of breeding and feeding turkey hens. Mrs. William Hardy was guest Sunday at Anderson's Ranch, visiting her son-in-law, Willis Skillman who resides there. Saturday Sat-urday Mr. and Mrs. Harold Stevens Stev-ens of Cedar City were visitors at the Hardy home. Mrs. Stevens is a daughter of Hrs. Hardy. Vernon Church and Heber Ilir-schi Ilir-schi of the Stake High Council were speakers at Sacrament meeting meet-ing last Sunday. Mr. Hirschi spoke of the advancement made in our military schools and at the defense plants which he recently visited in California. Mr. Church expressed his appreciation for his association with the young people. He paid them high tribute for what they are and are doing. Mr. and Mrs. Delworth Wilson sang, "Indian Love Call." Chester Hardy and Sam Earl spent the week end home from Inyokern, Calif, where they have employment. Mr. and Mrs. Newell DcMillc . rf Rockville were Sunday visitors here and alended our Sacrament meeting. Ed Gubler has ""returned from Salt Lake City whrre he has ?pent the past several weeks. His .vife joined him a few days be-rore be-rore he came home. His daughter ind son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack fives took the Gubler car to Salt akc to bring their parents home. Mr. and Mrs. William Hardy ind Mrs. Sarah Spcndlove of Virgin spent a day at the St. ', George Temple last week. The LaVerkin ward Primary collected S10.52 In their children's ' inspilal drive.
