Show Wedding Reception Honors Virginia McArthur And V. Ward Cuff on Wednesday Bishop Wilford Sehmutz officiated officiat-ed at the ceremony Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 4 p. m. when Miss Virginia McArthur, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Valentine McArthur of St. George, became the bride of William Ward Cuff, son of Mrs. Charles F. King of Marys-vale, Marys-vale, Utah. The marriage took place in the living room of the McArthur home, the bride's brother, broth-er, Marion McArthur playing the Wedding March as the couple entered for the ceremony. A large group of relatives and friends were in attendance. On Wednesday evening, a reception rec-eption at the St. George L. D. S. Institute honored the couple. For this event the bride wore her wedding gown of white silk marquisette mar-quisette with circular train. She carried a shower boquot of red roses surrounding a single orchid. She was attended by her sister, Flma Ann McArthur as bridesmaid, brides-maid, her tiny niece. Sharol Lynn McArthur of Las Vegas was flower girl. Champ Cuff, brother of the groom was best man. Also in the receiving line were the parents of the bride, the groom's mother, Mr. and Mrs. Thello Bay and Mrs. Lote Cuff, all of Marysvale; Sgt. and Mi's. Therol McArthur and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Ostenson of Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold McArthur and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Miles greeted guests at the entrance. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Crofts of Richfield and Mrs. Ray Sehmutz assisted in the gift room. Music for the evening was under direction di-rection of Mrs. Carlos Sehmutz and Mrs. Darwin Daily. Other friends of the bride assisting with the gift room and with serving were Mrs. Bud Kunz, Miss Irma Bentley, Mrs. Shirl Pitchforth, Mrs. E. J. Simmons. Mrs. Howard Sehmutz and Mrs. Elmer Cox. Following the reception, the couple left for a short honeymoon, honey-moon, destination undisclosed. They will return to St. George for a few days before going on to Marysvale where they will make their home. |
