Show Dixie College Hews Mrs. Roxey Romney will report her recent trip to Washington, D. C, at a meeting of the Dixie college Faculty Women's club tonight to-night at the Institute. Hostesses for the meeting are Mrs. Pearson Corbett and Mrs. Milton Moody. The officers of the Omega Delta club are in charge of a work and ,fun meeting of that organization tonight on the stage of the college auditorium. Boys' Day will be celebrated tomorrow at the college, with Dean Webb, president of the Boys' club, in charge of activities. An interesting assembly program has been planned for 12 o'clock, and a dance will be held in the evening. eve-ning. Money taken in at the dance will be turned over to the Bond Scholarship fund. The senior class will handle the Bond Scholarship fund drive during dur-ing the spring quarter. The group has already made arrangements to sell pop at the game with Hurricane Hur-ricane Friday. Mrs. Hannah Wells discussed the bridal wardrobe at a meeting of the Omega chapter of Lambda Delta Sigma last Thursday night. Some recent brides who modeled their own wedding gowns assisted. The meeting was held at the home of Betty Lou Gardner. The Dixie college biology students stud-ents will debate the social science students before the orientation groups next Wednesday at 12 o'clock. The topic will be the pros and cons of the proposed law in Utah to sterilize criminals and mental defectives. The biology students will argue in favor of the law, the social science students stud-ents against. Washington's birthday was fittingly fit-tingly observed in a special assembly at the college this morning. morn-ing. The annual oratorical contest was held at this time. Homer Christensen, studentbody president, is acting as substitute teacher in music at the Woodward Wood-ward this week. |
