Show LEEDS Mrs. Evelyn McMullin Reporter Red Cross knitters were guests of Mrs. R. C. Savage on Thursday. Agnes Wilson of St. George spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Vere McMullin. Mrs. Ethel Stirling is visiting her daughter, Charlene in Salt Lake City. They enticipate a trip together back to Grand Island, Nebraska before returning home. Mrs. Martha Fleming of Overton Over-ton is recuperating at the home of her sister, Mrs. Etta Mariger. Mrs. Fleming was rushed from Overton to the McGregor hospital last week because of her serious illness. Her children, Pvt. Robert Fleming of Las Vegas and Helen Fleming of Los Angeles have been here with their mother. Stake missionaries held an interesting in-teresting cottage meeting at the home of Mrs. Druie Bradshaw on Saturday night. Mrs. Eliza Cox of Orderville is here with her daughter, Mrs. Glen Beal. The Sunday school and M. I. A. joined in sponsoring a dancing party on Friday which was very successful. Mrs. Wilma Beal was honored on Monday with a friendship shower at the home of Mrs. Alex Colbath at Silver Reef. Charles Wright, Irene Blake and Joy Hebdon of St. George were week end guests of Mrs. Minnie Harris. Pvt. Stanford Stirling, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stirling is home on furlough from Camp Fannin, Texas. He reports back to Fort Ord, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. William Nicholls of Huntington Park, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Arch Perry of Las Vegas and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Nicholls and family of Rioche were visiting visit-ing relatives and friends here on Sunday. Ramona McMullin has been bedfast for ten days with an infected in-fected leg. Pfc. Melvin Willits, Pfc. Harvey Williams and Pfc. George Stoffa of Las Vegas were week end visitors in Leeds. |
