Show COUNTY ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE SALE OF CHRISTMAS TREES IN WASHINGTON COUNTY. The Board of County Commissioners Commis-sioners of the County of Washington, Wash-ington, State of Utah, ordains as follows: Section 1. That it shall be unlawful un-lawful for any person to sell or offer for sale within Washington County, any Christmas tree without with-out having obtained a license so to do from the County Clerk of Washington County. Section 2. Before applying for said license from the County Clerk the vendor shall obtain from the Regional Forester or Forest Supervisor, if said trees are removed from the National Forest, or Regional Grazier or the District Grazier, if said trees are removed from the Grazing Service Lands; or from the owner of private lands, if said trees are removed from private lands, for the cutting and removal of said Christmas trees from either said National Forests, Grazing Service Lands or private lands. Section 3. That upon the presentation- by said vendor of the approval of cutting and removal of trees as set forth in Section 2 above, the County Clerk shall issue said applicant a Christmas Tree Registration Permit in a form to be approved by the County Commissioners of Washington Wash-ington County, which permit shall be authority for said vendor to sell within Washington County Christmas trees cut as set forth in Section 2 above. Section 4. That before said trees are offered for sale under the CHRISTMAS TREE REGISTRATION REGIS-TRATION PERMIT as provided in Section 3 above, the vendor shall attach to each tree so sold or offered for sale a tag in the form approved by the County Commissioners of Washington County showing that said tree is sold under approved conservation practices. Section 5. The County Clerk of Washington County shall charge the sum of One Dollar for the issuance of the CHRISTMAS TREE REGISTRATION PERMIT as provided for herein. Section 6. For the purpose of this act, any person or persons, firm, or corporation offering Christmas trees for sale shall be considered a vendor. Section 7. Any person violating any of the provisions of this act shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Section 8. This ordinance shall take effect on and after the date of its publication- as provided by law.
