Show George Cannon Gardner Dies In McGill, Nev. Relatives in St. George were advised ad-vised over the week end of the death in the McGill, Nev., hospital, hos-pital, Saturday, Dec. 12, of George Cannon Gardner, 74, brother of Mrs. Mary Alice Snow of this city, and a former Pine Valley resident. He has been afflicted for several years. Funeral services serv-ices will be held in Lund today, (Thursday). Born in Pine Valley, Jan. 10, 1868, he was a son of Robert and Lenora Cannon Gardner, spending most of his boyhood there, and being among those called with the late Thomas Juddj to help settle the White Pine country. Dec. 23, 1901, he mar-1 ried Sarah Isabell Forsyth, daugh-j ter of George and Sarah Snow, Forsyth, also Pine Valley resi-j dents, and later of Alberta, Can. j They were married in the St.! George Temple. Surviving besides Mrs. Gardner are: Thirza Hendricks and Kenneth Ken-neth Gardner of McGill; Wayne, of Ely; Alice S. Hendricks of Ruth, Nev.; Florence of Seattle, Wash.; Sarah and Cannon Gardner Gard-ner of Lund; and Leonard Gardner, Gard-ner, now in the U. S. military service. Also, the following brothers broth-ers and sisters: Reuben Gardner, Pine Valley; Ozro Gardner, Delta; R. B. Gardner and Nathaniel Gardner, Cedar City; Amos B. Gardner, Sparks, Nev.; Archie Gardner, Murray; Angus of Lehi; Rhoda Harrison of Lovell, Wyo.; Mrs. Snow of St. George; Mrs. Annie McDonald of Kanab; Mrs. Ella McQuarrie Hatch of New York City; and Mrs. Maude Baker of Uintah. |
