Show Aquacade To Be Presented By Red Cross Many Swimmers Expected To Take Tart In Program Next Saturday Preparation for the St. George 1W2 Red Cross Aquacade is now nearing completion, when between 50 and 100 local swimmers, singers, sing-ers, dancers and divers will take part in an elaborate program at the Municipal plunge, as a climax to the American Red Cross in swimming and life saving classes, which are nearing conclusion. Elmo Patterson, field representative, representa-tive, who has been instructing the croup during the past two weeks mil direct the program, the first of its kind to be presented in this city-Set city-Set for Saturday Date for the program has been set for Saturday, Dec. 9, at 4 p.m., and the public is cordially invited to attend. All singers, dancers and swimmers who desire to participate are requested to register with Reed Blake at the Woodward high, with Mr. Patterson, Patter-son, the Red Cross instructor, or with Nolan Lee, the life guard at the plunge, on or before Friday evening. The program will open, with community singing of- several patriotic pa-triotic numbers, followed by the general sequence of events such as swimmers on parade, water raltzes, floating formations, with squads of bathing beauties floating float-ing to music; antics of the swimming swim-ming chain gang; the human swimming torpedo, and various other events. The theme of the entire program centers around two little girls, who, weary from swimming and olavine droD off to sleep and the swimming events are the little girls' dreams. Preceding the program there "ill be a graduation ceremony, luring which swimming and life saving instructor certificates will 1 presented to those who have satisfactorily completed the two reeks' course. Seating for the program for at lent 500 will be provided. |
