Show Xmas Theme Features Library Hour Program Mrs. Hernan Larkin was the chairman in charge of the Sunday Sun-day night Library Hour, when an entirely Christmas theme was presented. A fair-sized and very appreciative audience attended the program. Other events on for the evening, however, kept many from attending. As a preliminary, recorded music was played while the audience assembled. These were followed by short, but inspiring and timely Christmas sentiments by Mrs. Byron Taylor and Pearson H. Cor-bett, Cor-bett, gathered from various periods and written by literary masters, and other interesting Christmas thoughts. Highlighting the program was the review of Walter Richard Eden's book, "The Man Who Found Christmas", by Mrs. Beth Schmutz. This tense and gripping story of a man who found in reality what mankind is in search of annually and so few ever find in the full sense of the word, was given with the fine artistry with which Mrs. Schmutz is especially capable and helped to make the evening's program one to be long remembered. |
