Show Elementary Reports Large Stamp-Bond Sale Pearl Harbor Week in the Elementary Ele-mentary school War Bond and Stamp sale drive was reviewed Tuesday before the student council, coun-cil, and showed one class to have purchased $149.80 during the week, with a big push forward being made by every room, says Principal Vernon Worthen. Over S600 worth were purchased during dur-ing the two weeks ending Dec. 15, bringing the total purchases since school opened to $2254.85. which is an average of $4.26 per pupil enrolled. "And that's mighty good", says Mr. Worthen. The present record shows more than S100 purchased by each room, with the highest score to date standing at $105, and the boys and girls plan to keep up their records. rec-ords. Only the final touches are needed need-ed for the presentation of the big Christmas program in which most of the school children will have an active participation. This program will begin at 7:00 p.m., next Tuesday evening in the school gym, the committee reports, re-ports, and is scheduled to last about one hour, say those in charge. The halls and rooms of the school building are in full holiday decoration. |
