Show THOMAS HOUSTON Thomas Houston, also a son Of Margret and James Houston, was born in Salt Lake City, September 6, 1853, and has enjoyed en-joyed his first eighty-three years as a member of the L. D. S. Church, of which his parents were converts prior to to his birth. He came with them to Dixie when a lad of eight, mov- in.p- tt Panpntfili in 1C7K -nrVin-M he has since resided. May 2, 1880 he married Christina Chris-tina Schow and to them were born the following children: Mrs. Mae Sevy, Mrs. Nina Snow, Mrs. Pearl LeFevre, Earl Houston, Hous-ton, Mrs. Mary Sargent, Joe Gale Houston, and J. Frank Houston, the first two residing at Richfield and the other five at Panguitch. Thomas Houston's life has also been devoted to farming and stock-raising, and for a number of years he was president of the Panguitch Co-op.. He claims the joy of such hobbies or interests in-terests as professional visitor and Temple worker. His wife passed away some years ago. In behalf of the L. D. S. Church he filled a' two-year mission mis-sion to the eastern states as a young man, and more recently a six-month mission to California. |
