Show Homecoming Plans Nearing Completion; Resume of Program With the first of August just around the corner, 75th Homecoming Home-coming celebration commifitees report fine progress being made. A strenuous schedule is outlined by committee heads during the weeks between August 1 and September 3, 4, 5 the dates of St. George's big event. The committee that is in charge of selecting the eligible candidates candi-dates for "Queen" announce that twenty-five names of young ladies have been submitted at the present time. They plan to start the voting off by allowing all men who attend the dance on Saturday night August 1, fifty free votes for the candidate of their choice. After that date votes will be sold to voters at the rate of one cent each. Voting places l j i. date. The winning lady will be announced at the dance held during the week of August 16. Publicity An active publicity campaign is now getting under way. This actiivity will include the use or Salt Lake City newspapers, radio station KSL, Associated Civic clubs newspaper, the country newspapers of Southern Utah, bumper strippers, signs, window cards, invitations to all former Dixieites as well as the Pioneers and many -other types of advertising. Soprts A special meeting was called t last night to complete the sports program. Present plans call for a series of baseball games among four of the best teams in this section of the state and Nevada, donkey baseball, races of all kinds, novelty stunts, wild calf riding and similar rodeo stunts, and every other type of sport to hold attention of the thousands who are expected to attend this celebration.
