Show LaYerkin Mrs. Kuby Webb Reporter J Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Reid have 'returned from Manti where they spent several days visiting friends and relatives. Mrs. Ervil Saunders and Mrs. Ellen Stout gave a farewell party on Sunday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Gardiner Heywood. Mr. Hey-wood Hey-wood has purchased a farm at Hurricane and is moving his family there. Cryrus Gifford has bought the Gardiner Heywood home and intends in-tends moving into it very soon. Mrs. Cleone Iverson and Mrs. Ruby Webb entertained at a double surprise party on Friday, July 2 at the Iverson home. The occasion was their husbands' birthdays. birth-days. There were eighteen guests present. Many of the townspeople spent the 4lh at Navajo Lake and in near by canyons where they could enjoy the cool mountain air. Mrs. Lldia Button has gone to Beaver to visit with her sister for a few days. Chester Hardy has been bedfast for the past week due to throat and lung trouble. It is reported he is slowly improving. Word has been received from Seattle, Washington that Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Heintze are the parents of a baby girl born June 24. Miss Myrth Glendenning is visiting visit-ing with friends at Alton. Mrs. Annie Richard of Redlands, California, Mrs. Liza Ann Anderson Ander-son and Mrs. Amelia Slack of Toquerville and Mrs. Isabell DeMill spent Thursday visiting at the home of Mrs. LaVerna Graff. .Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Hopkins of Cedar City were week-end visitors here. |
