C. Bowman, advertising director, announced today. Mrs. Floyd knows her subject. Years of institutional training research re-search work in the experimental kitchens of the Edison General Electric Appliance Co., makers of the Hotpoint range, with which company she is now associated, and experience in conducting schools through the nation, has qualified her as an authority in producing cooking miracles with electricity. She has directed Electric Cookery-Classes Cookery-Classes in many Jeading Universities Univer-sities and colleges, said Mr. Bowman. Bow-man. ' Women since ' time immemorial", imme-morial", Mrs. Floyd says, "have accepted cooking as their lot in life peeking into keetles and ovens, tending, stiring, watching spending hours each day in their kitchens mothering the food in preparation on their ranges. "Electric cookery is comparatively compara-tively new yet it is already regarded regard-ed as one of the most important branches in the study of Home Economics. Thousands of women in all parts of the country daily are turning to electric cookery as the answer to their cooking needs. "Electricity can be measured so accurately that it has replaced tools in industrial laboratories for measuring machinery to infinitesimal infini-tesimal degrees. Since electric cookery involves the use of electricity elec-tricity for heat homemakers now are able to regulate cooking heat on their ranges to a degree of accuracy ac-curacy never before known. Accurately Ac-curately controlled measured heat means attention free cooking on surface units and one-step baking it means carefree assurance for the housewife. "Electricity has removed the cloak of drudgery and the veil of uncertainty from cooking. I will show that home economista through research have pointed the way to the elimination of all such annoyances. "The modern electric range is provided with a "chef's brain" This watches over the oven, turning it on and off without attention from the homemaker. It keeps temperatures tempera-tures accurate and enables even inexperienced cooks to get good results. v In addition to her demonstration in electric cookery Mrs. Floyd will bring to her audience a number num-ber of excellent and novel recipes each dish well-balanced and nourishing, appetizing and attractive. attrac-tive. In dramatized fashion she will offer housewives up-to-date ideas in modern home making, Mr. Bowman said. |
