Some oli I lenees have l-en removed which shows a very derided improvement. Then a progressive roup of rillens on Kad Highway 'Jl have asked for a district sidewalk side-walk pavement to U' created from the Libeily hotel to 4th i:,i,t. This will he a meat asset to our community. Other (roups will, ue hop..', he willing to cooperate with tin- city in similar- districts where needed. Such improvements improve-ments are definite steps in progress in our city. Some places are outstanding and would be a credit to any city. Kach new improvement on home surroundings or ' public m ounds brings us one step nearer to our ideal of a "City Ileautiful". If each district would concentrate for one week on sidewalk improvement much could be accomplished, for '.) per cent of this beautification is just plain work. Next week we hope to name several places that are outstanding in their beautification improvements. What we each contribute con-tribute to our own homes we contribute to our city's progress. Much has leen accomplished but more is being done continually and with the "Tour of Our City" becoming a definite project, this makes one more big reason for cleanup clean-up and permanent improvement. |
