Show Three-Day Program Planned At Leeds Camp April 15, 16 and 17 have been set as the dates for the sixth CCC Anniversary celebration to be held at the Leeds CCC camp. Plans are being formed to make this the most significant event since the camp was organized. This program is in harmony with a movement generally in operation opera-tion throughout the 1500 CCC camps, it was announced today by John S. Shipley, commanding officer. A dance will be given as an opening feature in the camp recreational hall April 15. As in other years this camp will hold open house so that the public will have the chance of seeing just what the CCC is doing for conservation. Leaders and enrollees will act as guides to conduct visitors on inspection tours of the camp. Open house is to be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. April 16. A concluding feature will be presented by way of an informative informa-tive and entertaining program for the benefit of the citizens of this (Continued on page four) Leeds CCC Camp (Continued from first page) county, April 17. Details of the program will be announced at a later date. Eighty-seven replacements are booked to leave Fort Knox, Ky. for camp Leeds April 7. They will probably reach this camp about April 10. The Leaders' club at Camp Leeds have taken over the responsibility of completing a swimming pool for the camp. Judging from the enthusiasm and the work already accomplished the pool will be ready for use by early summer. |
