Show Washington Mrs. Lenzy Hoopes Reporter Little Deon Connell underwent a tonsil operation Thursday. He has been ill for the past month and is improving, but is still under the doctor's care. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Killam and children of Carp, Nev., and Mrs. Shirley Thomas of Beaver spent the week end with their sister, Mrs. Lenzy Hoopes. Mrs. Killam will be remembered by her friends here as Josephine Thomas. Golden Paxman, Christian Connell Con-nell and William Gould made a business trip up to Cedar mountain moun-tain and back Sunday. ' Pres. Harold Snow and George P. Lytle were our missionaries Sunday. Both gave very interesting interest-ing talks. Ormond Wilkins made a business busi-ness trip to Cedar City Friday. Mr. Wilkins is foreman over our WPA project. Owen Atkin of Los Angeles arrived Sunday morning to spend two weeks in his mining interest. He is at the home of his father, Heber C. Atkin. Mrs. Gladys Mitchell, Mrs. Olga Lundberg and Mrs. Eldon Mock honored Mrs. Karl Wilkins with a bridal shower Tuesday night at the home of Mrs. Frank Staheli. Mrs. Wilkins before her marriage a week ago, was Miss Velva Staheli. She received many useful gifts. H. W. Prisbrey and son, Harold, made a trip to Las Vegas Sunday to get their truck which had been wrecked. Max returned with them but Elvin will remain there for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Atkin and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Rowley and family and Mrs. Rowley's Row-ley's mother, spent last week end at the home of Mrs. Atkin's and Mrs. Rowley's father, Heber C. Atkin. Miss Alta Connell is suffering from a broken rib and many bad cuts and bruises, received when riding in a car that was wrecked at Leeds a week ago. |
