Show Rockville Mrs. Phlletos Jones Reporter The primary officers have worked out a unique program to obtain funds to start their work in the fall. Each officer is to raise $1.00 selling fruit on the stands through town. The children running the stands are helping to do it, and fruit is being donated. Mrs. Henry Hirschi was struck by a bicyclist Sunday night, throwing her to the pavement and badly bruising her. Mfs. Jay Montgomery and children chil-dren of Pioche, former residents of Rockville, visited here last Friday with neighbors and friends. Mrs. Lillian Jones went to New Harmony Wednesday to visit for a while. Clayton Hirschi has gone to the Stout sawmill to work. The Fourth of July would not be as it should without the martial band and the men and boys who gave us this enjoyment are to be thanked. Some very young boys helped with the drums and did very well. Mr. and Mrs. Orley S tap ley 1 and children visited with the mother of Mrs. Stapley, Mrs. ! Alice Russell, Sunday. Miss Fae Terry is here visiting her folks, from St. George. She recently returned from Los Angeles where she attended a dental school. Denton Millett and a group of friends from Salt Lake City visited friends here Monday. They also visited Zion Park. Miss Leah Kelsey of New Harmony Har-mony is here visiting with relatives, rela-tives, Bp. Waldon Ballard, Afton and Elwin Ballard and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Alton Jones and daughter, Alyce and Mrs. Grant Langston visited relatives in St. George and Santa Clara Sunday. Mrs. Myrl Vincent entertained a group of little folks Monday in honor of her son, Gerald's birthday anniversary. Mrs. Alton Jones gave a party to seven couples, Pinochle was played and prizes were won by Mrs. Grant Langston, Irving Dal-ton Dal-ton and Russell Mahan. Mrs. Bluford Beames, and Mrs. George Matthews of Virgin visited visit-ed their sister, Mrs. Riley Hirschi Saturday. |
