Election Held By Soil Conservation Group Here July 5th On July 5 an election' was conducted con-ducted relative to the organization organiza-tion of the South Slope Upper Virgin River Soil Conservation District. Ballots cast for supervisors show the following results: Afton Ballard, 43 votes. Thatcher Ballard, 35 votes. Clarence Olsen, 31 votes. G. Fenton Whitney, 28 votes. Harold Reeve, 13 votes. Lower Virgin On Monday, July 10, the Lower Virgin-Santa Clara Soil Conservation Conser-vation district committeemen met and discussed possible projects that might be considered and developed de-veloped on when they write up their program of work. A meeting meet-ing will be held at a later date, at which time they will adopt the program of work. The date of this meeting has not been set but the committeemen will be notified. If any people in this district have suggestions the committee states it would be very happy to j get them. i
