Show Hurricane Jliss Audrey Ballard Reporter Mr. and Mrs. George Stevens with Grant Wright left Monday for several days of fishing at Navajo Lake. Rhea Fawcett spent the week end in St. George. Saturday Mark Imlay left to enroll in the Bryce Canyon CCC camp. Misses La Prele Isom and El-meada El-meada Bliss spent Sunday at Grand Canyon with friends. Sunday James J. Jennings returned re-turned from Phoenix where he has been for the last few weeks on a business trip. Miss Merline Stevens, who has been home on a short visit, re turned to Grand Canyon where she is spending the summer with Elaine Hamilton. She was accompanied accom-panied by her friend, Alda Hinton. Mr. and Mrs. Amon Stratton returned here Tuesday after a short vacation on Cedar Mountain. Moun-tain. Mr. and Mrs. Frank T. Hall, who have been guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Fawson, returned to their home in Salt Lake City Tuesday. Monday Mrs. Charles Ely and small son, who have been visiting with her mother, Mrs. May Petty, returned to Reno, Nev. Tuesday Mrs. Barbara Zanner of Washington, accompanied by several children and grandchildren, grandchil-dren, visited here with Mr. and Mrs. Thatcher Ballard and Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Hall. Mrs. C. D. Barnum of Las Vegas is here as a guest of Mrs. Martha Hastings and other relatives. rela-tives. Clave Walker, who is employed at Caliente, Nev., spent the week end in Hurricane with his wife and family. Cliff Spendlove returned to the Zion CCC camp Sunday after a short illness. Mrs. Gerald Gifford, formerly Aleatha Dalton, whose home is in California, is here visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Dalton and family. Miss Doris Demille of Rockville is the guest of Miss Florene Tweedie. Harvey Hastings came home from work on Deer Creek dam in Provo Canyon. He spent July 4 with his family and then moved them to Provo, where they are staving at the Known Upper Falls. Samuel Wilson, who is employed employ-ed at Cedar Breaks, visited over the week end with his family. Wednesday Clarence Mangum moved his family to. Idaho. Mr and Mrs. Vernon Campbell accompanied by Mrs. Campbell's small brother, Billie. and sister, Marmian, went to Overton Sunday Sun-day where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Cline Jr. While in that vicinity they also visited Sun Valley. Sunday Miss Inez Gibson returned re-turned to Hurricane after a week's visit with a friend, Miss Zona O'Brian of Rockville. Mrs Phvllis Walsh of Leeds snent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Gibson Jr. Friday Ella Brooksby of Fre-donia Fre-donia returned to her home after having spent several days here visiting with Mrs. George Shamo and other friends. Thursday Mr. and Mrs. La-Wayne La-Wayne Wood and small son de-Darted de-Darted for Las Vegas after a brief visit here with relatives. Kent Bradshaw and Paul Jep-son Jep-son left Saturday for Idaho where thev will seek employment. Franklin Childs, foreman at the Hurricane CCC camp, who is away on a vacation trin, has been replaced by Archibald Ben-sen Ben-sen of Fort Douglas. Thursdav the Hurricane ecu camp andSpringdale team played baseball, the score was 13-!U in favor of the CCC team. |
