Show Turner Inspects Water Facilities Program J. J. Turner, of Cedar City, who is in charge of Soil Conservation activities in southwestern Utah, was in the valley last Thursday and Friday. While here, Mr. Turner inspected the Water Facility Fa-cility Projects that are under construction con-struction in this vicinity, and stated tht the construction work, which is being done by the farmers farm-ers themselves, is of excellent quality. The St. George Valley Irrigation company is replacing its old wood stave pipe line with a new twenty twen-ty inch steel pipe. This pipe line extends from Washington Fields Canal to the north side of the Virgin river, Ernest Reber is replacing re-placing his old clay pipe, which brings water from a spring to his storage tank, with a new steel pipe line. Fergus Wallis has constructed con-structed a permanent masonry diversion di-version dam, and is constructing a new reservoir dyke to replace the present dyke which leaks very badly. |
