Show Watson and Ashby To Be Speakers At P.-T. A. Meet Thursday Mayor-elect D. C. Watson and Rodney Ashby will be the speakers speak-ers at the monthly Parent-Teacher association meeting to be held Thursday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 in the Elementary School building, according ac-cording to word received from Misha Seegmiller, local program chairman. Mayor Watson will treat the subject "Character-forming Agencies in our Community" and Mr. Ashby will discuss "DemocracyWhat "Dem-ocracyWhat It Is and How the Home School, Church, and Other Agencies Function In Its Developments". Devel-opments". Music for this meeting will be furnished by the Woodward Wood-ward High school students undei the direction of Charles Olson. As an added attraction and with the thought in mind -to raise money to carry on the school lunch program, the women who are in charge of this project will serve a light lunch in connection with the social following the meeting. There will be no charge for the lunch, but contributions of any amount one wishes to make will be gladly accepted. Mrs. Mathis, president of the local P.-T. A., calls attention to the fine work these people are doing Jrr our children, and asks the cooperation cooper-ation of the parents and teachers in this understanding. j |
