Show ' L. A. Wynaught Elected President of Southern Utah Chic Clubs L. A.Wynaught of Milford was elected president of the Southern Utah Civic clubs at the annual election held in Fillmore on last Saturday. Mr. Wynaught has been an active worker in the organization org-anization for the past eight years. Chauncey Sandberg of Hurricane, was elected to represent Washington Wash-ington County on the board of directors, j With Mr. Sandberg from this county was J. L. Wads-worth, Wads-worth, president of the local Chamber of Commerce. Principal speaker at the meeting meet-ing was Gus P. Backman, secretary secre-tary of the Salt Lake City Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce, who reported on the Mountain States association associa-tion meeting held in Denver. He urged members of the association as-sociation to go on record urging passage of a law to require senate ratification of all reciprocal trade agreements with foreign nations as a means of protecting western industries. He cited the need for this protection to turkey growers, dry milk, hides and other western products including sugar. |
