Show Washington Mrs. Lenzy Hoopes Reporter Much applause greeted the solo sung by Mrs. Aggie Sproul at Hurricane Peach Day. Wayne Neilsen is in from the sheep herd. Mr. and Mrs. Beryl Waters of Beaver spent the week end with J. R. Watts and family. Miss Aleene Pendleton, who has been visiting in Pioche, Nevada, for the past month, returned home Sunday. Mrs. H. C. Turnbeaugh, accompanied accom-panied by Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Turnbeaugh and baby, left Sunday Sun-day for Wendell, Idaho, to visit their son and brother, Clarence and family. Son Thorley and grandson Theo Pendleton, who have been there the past month, will return with the Turnbeaughs. Mrs. Mae Ott of Salt Lake City called on friends here last week on her return from Los Angeles where she had been called due to the death of her father-in-law in an automobile accident. Her husband accompanied Mrs. Ott to Los Angeles. Mr. Carlison of Provo has leased the Hal Gas Station. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Larson of Beaver are still employed there, station. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Mathis and son were in town on business Sunday. Sun-day. Milton Moody came on a business bus-iness trip Friday from St. George. Ben Holland has had employment employ-ment at Leeds the past week. Cal Jolley went to Pioche, Nevada, Nev-ada, last week with a truck to move his brother Ben's furniture. Among those from here attending attend-ing Peach Day at Hurricane were: Mrs. Aggie Sproul, Mr. and Mrs. William Gould. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Jankele, Mr. and Mrs. Antone Neilson, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Tobler and Mrs. Gottlieb Zahne. Mr. and Mrs. Haven Paxman and family drove to Enterprise Sunday taking Mrs. Alger, mother of Mrs. Paxman, to her home. Mrs. Alger had been visiting with the Paxman's for the last two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Tompson and baby of Beaver visited over the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Lenzy Hoopes and family. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Tobler and family spent Sunday at Enterprise visiting relatives. Garn Heaton of St. George was our speaker in sacrament meeting Sunday. |
