Show Supt. and Mrs. Milton E. Moody and Principal and Mrs. Newell R. Frei were in charge of the pre-Thanksgiving dinner and party given to the Woodward high school faculty and partners at the Arrowhead hotel Monday evening. Dinner was served at 8 p.m. Rook followed as the diversion with Earl Cottam winning high score Mrs. Beth Schmutz second and Miss Tillie Winsor consolation. The Misses Lena Nelson, Lena Besendorfer and Afton Peters left Wednesday morning to spend the Thanksgiving holidays in Salt Lake. City. At their meeting held last Sunday Sun-day the projects leaders of the three local wards outlined class work to be carried on throughout the winter. The first session will be held in the south ward chapel at 4 p.m. next Tuesday. Lessons on human relations will be given from Pappinni's text on the subject. sub-ject. Lunch was served to 37, and was followed by games. The departing missionaries were the recipients of many useful gifts from their friends. Charles A. and Lorin C. Little left Saturday for a brief business trip into northern Arizona, vie Kanab. Miss Leone Holt, filing clerk for the Federal Re-employment bureau at Ogden is here for a two week's visit with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Jess Holt. |
