Show Joseph C. Thompson IIa.s Narrow Escape In Car Wreck Joseph C. Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claud Thompson, had a narrow escape from injury last week, while driving the O. P. Sknggs" supply truck to Salt Lake City. Going north on a detour west of Pleasant Grove, just after dark. Mr. Thompson attempted to pass a beet wagon when the lights of a south-bound car blinded him and in cutting in to avoid a head-on! collision, the truck hit another beet wagon. The truck was turned over and damaged some but Mr. Thompson escaped un-hurt. The driver of the beet wagon received cuts and bruises and one horse was killed. Marvin Grant, state patrolman, who investigated the accident, found three un-lighted licet wagons on that road at the time. |
