Show RockviHe Mrs. Philehis Jones Reporter Philden Demill and Maurice Dal-ton Dal-ton visited friends at Provo and Salt Lake City last week. Darivon Terry, a son of Arthur Terry was taken to the Iron county hospital in a very serious condition. At first an operation was thought to be necessary, but on account of his weakened condition con-dition it was put off. He is getting better and may soon return home. Miss Ethel Allen and daughter, Ila. of Cane Beds, visited relatives here last week. D.U.P. officers from St. George visited with the officers here last week and instructed them in their work for the winter. Lawrence Moody has gone to Oakland, Calif., where he will work at his former job for General Motors. Leonard Dalton spent a few days here visiting his family. He is "employed at Ely, Nev. Mrs. Roxey Romney reviewed the book "Jappa" to an interested company of ladies last Thursday night at the home of Mrs. Alice Ballard. She brought some young ladies who entertained with some musical numbers. The Sunday school was reorganized reor-ganized on November 13. Alton Jones as superintendent; Floyd Demill and Ernest Langston as assistants as-sistants and John Terry as secretary secre-tary were released and Bp. Philetus Jones as superintendent, with Horace Demill and Elmer Cox as assistants, with Denton Millett as secretary were sustained. On November 20 Sunday school conference was held here. Stake visitors were present. In the afternoon after-noon ward conference was held. Pres. Claudius Hirschi and Geo. Gibson of the high council were in attendance. Bp. Fred Hirschi and wife of Rosetta. Utah, visited our sacrament sacra-ment meeting Sunday and gave a very good talk. Bishop Rowley and wife of Parowan also were visitors here Sunday at the home of Heber Hirschi. They brought Mrs. Gail Hirschi and baby, who have been visiting for some time with relatives rela-tives at Parowan. A fair representation of the priesthood attended the special ses-ion on Saturday night at the St. George Temple. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Adams are visiting relatives this week in Orderville. Russell Mahan is supervising the Pved Cross drive here. Daniel Hirschi was taken suddenly sud-denly ill this morning and was taken to the hospital in Cedar City. At this writing word has not been received as to his condition, whieh was bad at leaving here. Union Jones and wife of Ogden visited with Alton Jones and family on Monday. Mrs. Mary C. Hirschi and Mrs. Alice Russell spent Monday in Hurricane on business. Mr., and Mrs. Heber Hirschi, accompanied Hp. Fred Hirschi and wire or Rosette, Utah, to Mesa, Ariz, where they will I'O thru the L.D.S. Temple and will also visit wilh relative; and friends there. |
