Show I Hurricane Miss Milda Lsom Reporter Mr. and Mrs. Dean Clark were , special visitors at Cedar City last j week-end. i Thell Gibson, son of Mr. and j Mrs. Edgar Gibson was seriously-injured seriously-injured last Sunday afternoon, while at the baseball game, when a foul ball struck the boy directly on the nasal bone. His forehead j was also bruised very badly. 1 Misses V'elma Spendlove and j V'aun Sanders left a few days ago 1 for Salt Lake City where they will spend some time visiting frineds and relatives. j Mr. and Mrs. Lu Wayne and I Cleo Wood are visiting at Navajo Lake with their sister, Glenna who has employment there. Misses Elaine Sandberg and Barbara Hirschi were guests this week of Miss Evlyn Snow of St. George. A small cannery is being constructed con-structed here at Hurricane under the auspicies of the Social Security Secur-ity organization and under the supervision of R. D. Adams. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Brown of Kanab were business visitors to Hurricane on Monday pertaining to purchasing land here at Hurricane. Hur-ricane. Mrs. Relva Jensen of Salt Lake City is visiting here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Spendlove. Spend-love. Miss Lorraine Heaton has returned re-turned from her summer vacation. E. B. Snow of St. George, who has a serious case of arthritis was a guest at the Sandberg home this last week. While here he took daily baths at the LaVerkin Sulphur Sul-phur Springs. Dee Callahan, Floyd Bradshaw and DuRell Covington and a group of friends enjoyed' a swimming party Monday evening at the Hurricane-La Verkin Swimming Pool. Mesdames Alma Clark, Bessie Judd, Eleanor Ruesch and Venona I Esplin, who served as hostesses at j the entertainment and dancing (social given by the Alice Louise Reynolds club last Thursday evening even-ing at the open-air dance pavil-lion, pavil-lion, exerted much effort and took an active part in making a success suc-cess of this affair.
