Show i Public Friend We have heard much of the Public Enemies. The govern-i govern-i is pursuing certain conspicuous individuals whom it has -led Public enemies, and to date has had good success iisposing of them. Meanwhile we should recognize that we also have a it many public Friends, as well as Public Enemies, and iites should be paid to them. It is with this in mind :'. The News has been publishing short stories on the i of our Pioneers. This policy is to be continued until have included the men and women of today who are implishing things. It will be noticed that these men and women have car-: car-: their share of the community work. If asked to take e office of some good community organization, they e not said, "Oh, no, we could not possibly do anything that". You find them taking up tasks that are more or i distasteful. You find that they were always on hand assist in anyway possible to better their opportunity. And so it is today that the Public Friend is interested everything that promises progress for his home town. He '"is meetings and gatherings considered to discuss local items. He offers suggestions when he can see things should be done. The Public Friend makes his purchases at home when-' when-' he can, which is practically always. The Public Friend always speaks good words for his "etown. He does not think it smart or funny to take 'perior attitude and point out its defects, but he always ks of its kindly and friendly spirit, and the public insti-ms insti-ms built up over years of labor. We have many of Public Friends in St. George and Washington County. |
