Show Lambda Beta Theta Holds Formal On Thursday Night One of the most delightful social affairs of the season was the Lambda Beta Theta anniversary formal, held Thursday evening, May 4. The reception room of the Mc-Quarrie Mc-Quarrie Memorial hall, especially decorated for the occasion, furnished fur-nished the setting. A profusion of sweet peas in pastel shades were used. A heavy lace cloth over green satin covered the serving table, with low crystal bowls at either end, filled with sweet peas, ferns, and lighted tapers. Music for dancing was furnished by Earl and Lee Milne and their junior players. Participants included Elaine Sandberg, president, Rhoda Cannon, Can-non, vice-president; Edith Sullivan, Sulli-van, secretary; Afton Snow, Blanche Baker, Vella Washburn, Marjorie Rust, Rene Lyman, Elizabeth Cottam, Naomi Clark, 'Roma Snow, Virginia McArthur and Grace Cottam, with Rodney Neilson, Andrew Stephens, Grant Whitehead, Dean Snow, Tom Bryner, Floyd Atkin, Elbert Porter, Por-ter, Mont Lamb, Ray Sorenson, DeLance Squire and Wallace Church. President and Mrs. Glenn E. Snow, Miss Linna Snow, and Mr. and Mrs. A. K. Hafen were invited as faculty sponsors. Commendation was expressed by observers for artistry displayed, display-ed, the excellent management, and the brilliant success of this social event. |
