The bugle call was given at the grave by Marian Holt and the answer by William Barlocker. George Spendlove was born at Tropic, Garfield county, Utah, on March 6, 1893. He was the third child born in Tropic. He died at his home in Enterprise Sunday morning. May 7. He is survived by one 12-year-old daughter, Lucile, his mother, Alice Spendlove and the following brothers and sisters: William Spendlove, Mrs. Vada Bradshaw, of Hurricane; Mrs. R. W. Deming, of Ogden and Mrs. Wawne Lenne, of Sparks. New Mr. Spendlove obtained his education edu-cation in the district schools at Tropic, Virgin and Hurricane. He later went to school for one year in Cedar City. He was drafted into the World War on the first draft and was sent to Camp Lewis, where he remained re-mained for one month. After a month he received an honorable discharge on account of poor health. He returned home by way of California and while in San Francisco lost his discharge papers. He was drafted into service ser-vice again and on April 27. 1918, he left his home in Hurricane fori Camp Lewis and soon found him-i him-i self in active service in France. In June. 1923. he married Nina Huntsman of Enterprise, who pre- ! j ceded him in death in December' I 1938. To this union was born three children, only one of whom survive. ! In 1919. after his return from war. he. his father and two brothers, formed a partnership in ! the sheep business.
