Mr. Hyde is the father of the young man who with his wife disappeared about a year ago while trying to shoot the river rapids in a boat. Boyle of Beaver came in Monday to receive treatment at the local hospital. M. C. Thompson and R. W. Knight of Provo were visitors in St. George Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Hunt left Saturday to spend the Christmas holidays with relatives in Long Beach and Los Angeles, Calif. A birthday party in honor of Norman Marshall was held at the home of Mrs. Jane Marlow Tuesday Tues-day evening. Paul and Lamar Grey and Mathew Grey of Los Angeles left Sunday evening for their homes after attending the funeral of their father and brother here. Mrs. Warren Black and daughter daugh-ter returned to their home at Short Creek Tuesday after visiting visit-ing relatives here over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. S. Norman Lee of Brigham City arrived here last Saturday to spend the holidays with their daughters, Misses Mary and Florence. Assessor Wm. Brooks returned Friday from Salt Lake where he went three weeks ago to attend the state assessors' convention. Taken ill while there was compelled com-pelled to remain two weeks longer than he intended. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Madsen and Mrs. Madsen's sister. Miss Marguerite Jepperson of Provo were guests of Miss Lucille Wor-then Wor-then Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Madsen are both instructors at the B. Y. U. music department depart-ment where Miss Worthen received receiv-ed vocal training last winter. They were en route to Los Angeles to spend the holidays. |
