In addition to barring fire, because of their incombustibility, such file reduces re-duces the transmission of heat and sound from room to room or floor to floor, because of the natural insulating insulat-ing properties of the gvpsum from which they are made and because of the hollow air space that each tile contains. They also can be sawed to fit odd-sized spaces with the same ease that wood is sawed and nailed. |
