Show DISTRICT SCHOOLS OPEN SEPTEMBER 17 The County School Board was in session Monday, the 27th. All members were present. The complete list of teachers was formally approved by the Board. Contracts for janitor work, transporting trans-porting school children, and furnishing furnish-ing wood were let. The superintendent was authorized to purchase a bus for use in transporting trans-porting Oak Creek children to Spring-dale; Spring-dale; also a car for use of school officials. offi-cials. Tuition for the eleventh and twelfth grades was left the same as last year, the amount being $25. No tuition will be charged the ninth and tenth grado students. All high school students will pay a flat laboratory fee which will be uniform uni-form for all students of the same grade and same school. The laboratory fee for the ninth and tenth grade students stu-dents of St. George has been fixed at $5, and in addition they will be expected ex-pected to pay a student body and lyceum fee of $5. All schools of the district, except the ninth and tenth grades of St. George will begin on September 17, on which date high school students will register and elementary school students will begin class work. The St. George- ninth and tenth grades will register Steptember 24th and will begin class room work on the 25th. Repairing of the Woodward school has been in progress and all is in readiness for the opening. The roof has been repaired and the walls and ceilings calcimlned. |
