Show ROCKVILLE Mr. and Mrs. Oscar DeMill and family spent the week-end at Grand Canyon. A fine baby girl arrived at the home of P. Jones, Monday. Jones last week. Mrs. Dee Lester is ill. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Stout, Mrs. Mary Stout, Mrs. Jesse Lem-mon, Lem-mon, of Hurricane, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ar-thur Hall, of Monroe, were visitors vis-itors in town last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. John Swartz-baugh Swartz-baugh and daughter left for their home in Los Angeles, after spending the past few months here. Mrs. James Hayden and children accompanied them to visit Mr. Haydeh's folks there. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur F. Miles were visitors at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Alton Jones on Sunday. Miss Wanda DeMill returned home last week from Los Angeles after spending several months with her sister. The two brothers of Jack Shell came in from Oakland, California to visit him. Jack and his wife went to Salt Lake to visit their parents. They will then go on to Oakland, California. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Harmon and son, of St. George, visited at the home of Bishop Ballard, Sunday. The recent storm has been a boon to the country in spite of the damage done to bridges and ditches. Most of our young boys went to Hurricane, La Verkin, Leeds, and Toquerville to pick peaches. Grant Langston is trucking fruit to Millard Company. Lyle Chamberlain, of Hidden Lake, was here for a load of fruit, Sunday. Jake Dalton has gone to Nevada Ne-vada to work in the mines. Dee Lester returned Saturday from Millard Company, where he worked the last ten days. Mrs. Glen Hirschi and daughter daugh-ter have gone to Salt Lake City t'o visit relatives. Rulon Langston and wife, who have spent some time at the sheep herd, returned home Saturday. Sat-urday. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Moody, Antone Moody and parents, of St. George, were in town transacting trans-acting business, Sunday. Quite a number attended the funeral of Mrs. Julia Hall at Hurricane last week. Mrs. Russell Mahan returned from the Iron County hospital, Sunday. Mrs. Augusta Anderson, of Hurricane, Hur-ricane, and Mrs. Fred Tale, of I Mt. Carmel, were visitors at the ho emof P. Jones, Monday. Rex Russell is home again after spending the past few months at Cedar City working. |
