Show RALSTON REUNION WELL ATTENDED RY MANY LOCAL PEOPLE liy Ij. XV. limit small Ferron, Emery Count v, Utah August 17 The Sixth Ralston Reunion was held in Feriou today, to-day, the first time that it has been held in Utah. It was held here in honor of Hannah (Davis) Huntsman, daughter of Margaret Ralston, daughter of Andrew Ralston, revolutionary soldier and pioneer farmer, of Ohio. The Huntsman-s and other descendants descend-ants residing in Southern Utah I figured prominently in the Reunion. Re-union. Three brandies of this I American family were represented. represent-ed. Danna Towns and family, of Helper, Utah represented the Adair Family group eminating from Shell Rock, Iowa; Lewis C. i Walkinshaw, Paul R. Wiikin-shaw, Wiikin-shaw, Mrs. Myrtle Shoop, of I Pennsylvania, of the Andrew Ral-1 Ral-1 ston II family. The remainder i of the 235 descendants were of i the Margaret (Ralston) Davis : family through her daughter, i Hannah, who married James W. i Huntsman of Indiana and joined the L. D. S. Church 183 S. ! In the absence of Oscar Davis, President for 1935, Attorney 1 Lewis C. Wilkinshaw, Historian of the clan, called the meeting, which was held in the Ferron Chapel, to order and moved that 1 the family elect a temporary president and proceed the meet-I meet-I ing. Lamond W. Huntsman, of i Enterprise, Utah, was elected and; took charge of the meeting. A 1 very interesting program was ' rendered. It consisted of an his-: his-: torical reading by Mrs. LeNora I Lamoreaux, several spicy read-I read-I ings by others, musical numbers, ! and some very interesting re-j re-j marks by Historian Lewis C. Wil- kinshaw. The program covered 1 a period of two hours. The family then went to the Church Grove, where a barbecue 'was prepared under the super- i vision of Arthur Huntsman, of ! Enterprise. The beef was from Arthur Huntsman's ranch. A. 'truck load of mellons and grapes . i was unloaded from "Dixie Land." ! A group picture of all present ! was taken. Then park benches j were arranged around the piano ' and the meeting was continued. I It was voted to hold the next j reunion of the Ralstons at some 1 point in Arizona on July 15, 1 1936. A radio contributed by the Towns family, of Helper, Utah, I i furnished music for a dance in. the evening. ' An important feature of the i reunion was the registration of: all present. i The members of the reunion, i remained over Sunday to attend I church. ' The visitors, from Pennsylvan-i Pennsylvan-i ia, who have toured 3,500 miles I through the states including sev-' sev-' era! miles through Utah, are I leaving St. George Awgust 20 I for Los Angeles and other points, i They will visit other Ralstons. : L.
