Show HURRICANE Hurricane-, July 12. Committees were appointed as follows to arrange for the 24th of July celebration: Parade the Trail Builders of the Primary Assn.; program Amos Workman, Wilford Leany, Eleanor Isom and Brenda Jep-son; Jep-son; decoration David Tweedie, Nora Wright, Mabel Campbell, Hazel Spendlove Spend-love and Bernice Hinton; sports A. J. Isom, Maurice Hinton, Ida Barber, Harvey Dalton and Phyllis Heaton. Recreational committee .will be appointed ap-pointed for dancing, etc. Elders Nicholes and Bentley of the stake presidency were here Sunday and gave us some very good talks. We appreciate ap-preciate their visit and hope they will be with us often. The Utah State editors were at Hurricane Hur-ricane yesterday. Our mayor and members of the commercial club met them at the cross roads at La Vrekin. There has been about 8,000 crates of fruit shipped from here up to date at an average of 85 c1 per crate delivered at Cedar City. Howard Kleinman of Toquerville has purchased a half interest in George Worthen's meat market and ice plant. Several of our home folks who now reside in other places are here on a visit to relatives and friends. H. C. Roundy of Kanarra has purchased purch-ased Alvin Hall's residence here and is now living here. Hyrum Atkin was a business visitor here from his sheep herd at the Gap last week. George Worthen has moved from the business building into the C. B. Petty home. |
