Show ILL SPOTTED FOR PUNCHJOWL TEST The Arrowhead Petroleum Corporation Corpora-tion is meeting with phenominal success suc-cess and expect in the near future to launch an extensive development campaign. cam-paign. The next structure to be tested by the Arrowhead Petroleum Corporation is the Punch Bowl dome about seven miles southeast of St. George. This dome is regarded as a very favorable structure. Harvey Bassler and John B. Reside, Jr., in Govt. Bulletin 726C state this a perfect dome. Manager Chas. D. Alsop of the Arrowhead Ar-rowhead Petroleum Corporation' accompanied ac-companied by W. J. Graham and an eminent geologist went out to the Punch Bowl dome a few days ago and spotted the well site for the first well. The third test by this Corporation will be made on Sec 30 Washington dome on the site selected by government govern-ment geologists. This land joins land owned by the Virgin Dome Oil Co. The Mid American test on Sec. 17 Bloomington dome which is being completed by the Arrowhead Petroleum Petrol-eum Corporation under the supervision of Manager Chas. D. Alsop is down 925 ft. with 10" in. casing set to bottom of hole. Work is being rushed, drilling drill-ing twenty four hours a day. Mr. Felix Scheer contractor on the Bee Hive dome arrived Monday and is' now personally in charge of the operations oper-ations and he intends to put on two shifts of twelve hours and work twenty twen-ty four hours a day until the oil horizon hori-zon is reached. There are several oil scouts here going go-ing over the field. They have been f here for about ten days. Three of the large California opera-C opera-C ters are registered at one of the local hotels trying to acquire leases. Geologist Jackson from Moab is here going over the field. It is rumored that he represents Eastern Capital. |
