Show PANACA Panaca, Nev., Jan 22. Philip Mathews Math-ews has been confined to his home for nearly a month with an attack of rheumatism. Mrs. Jane Lee suffered a severe attack at-tack of appendicitis a week ago. At this ' writing her condition is slightly improved. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilcox and children were visitors here last Sunday. Sun-day. Assessor and Mrs. . Earl J. Mathews are the proud parents of a baby girl born on January 16. Dr. Hastings of Pioche attended. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. F. Lee and children chil-dren of Wilson Creek visited relatives in Panaca Saturday. Mrs. Bertha L. Kephart and children chil-dren were visitors here Saturday. Al R. Williams ' left Saturday for Las Vegas on business. Kenneth Lee has been ill the past week. The basketball team of Lincoln county high school returned Saturday Satur-day from Ely, where they played on Saturday evening. The Lincolners lost the game by a score of 19 to 14. Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Williams and Mrs. Wm. Butler visited at Caliente last Friday. E. C. D. Marriage of Caliente was in Panaca Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mathews are visiting at Pomona, Calif. Eli L. Edwards is in Los Angeles this week. Golden Hollingshead and Miss Amy Earl, teachers in Caliente, spent Sunday Sun-day here. Misses Louise Lee and Eva Edwards Ed-wards entertained friends at a Leap Year party last Wednesday evening at the Edwards home. A pleasant evening eve-ning was spent with games and refreshments. re-freshments. The Lincoln high basketball team will go to Overton this week end for a game with the Moapa valley high school team.
