Show BUNKERVILLE , Bunkerville, Jan. 23. Warm days and cold nights may be the cause of so many colds that are going the rounds here. Mrs. Lea Tobler and two children have been on the sick list, also several others have been confined to bed for two or three days. The opera "Rip Van Winkle," which was staged last Tuesday night by the Dixie college, was a grand success. A full house showed the appreciation of the people to Dixie's performers. We know what they bring to us is first class. Last Friday night the basketball team from Kingman, Ariz., met the high school team here. The score was 30 to 11 in favor of the home team. A week ago the team from Needles, Calif., was here and victory was ours by a big score. Rulon Leavitt who has been troubled troub-led with his heart for about a year is showing improvement, and is able to be out and around. Many of our young people attended the gold and green ball given at Mesquite Mes-quite last Saturday night. A good time was reported. Word has been received here that the Key West mine will again begin operations opera-tions in the near future. A couple of truckloads of supplies are on the ground now. |
