Show ENTERPRISE SCHOOL NOTES Student body program January 20, school song, student body; prayer, Ronald Lytle; piano duet, Mable Bry-and Bry-and and Mariboha Terry; comic reading, read-ing, Leora Farnsworth; current events, Merl Emett; pianologue, Alene Piatt' Basketball Game and Dance Friday night January 20 the high school team challenged the town team to a game of basketball. Both teams played with pep and vim. Also the yell squad was very peppy bobbing up and down in their caps of blue and gold. The town team was victorious. vic-torious. After the ball game almost everyone joined m the dancing at tne ward hall. During the dance punch and ice cream cones were sold. The boys were, wise in doing this because everyone every-one seemed hungry and dry after so much excitement ' and shouting over the game. The dance and game were given by the E. H. S. basketball team for the purpose of raising funds for the purchase pur-chase of basketball suits. The boys worked out the dance and refreshments refresh-ments themselves. After paying for the suits and all expenses a nice sum of money was left, which shows they were successful in their efforts. Dramatic Art Class to Give Plays Friday night, January 27 the dramatic dra-matic art class will present a series of one-act plays in the ward hall at 7:30 p. m., prices 15c and 25c. The titles of the plays to be given are as follows: "In the Spring a Young Man's Fancy," "Just a Little Mistake." "The Teeth of the Gift Horse." A dance will follow each presentation. Oration Contest On oration contest on patriotism wlil be given by the debating and pub-lis pub-lis speaking department for Washington's Washing-ton's birthday. The contest is open to all members of the E. H. S. student stu-dent body. The winner will be rewarded re-warded with an oration medal. |
