Show MESQUITE Mesquite, Nev., Oct. 10. Mr. and Mrs. Walter ughes arrived Friday about 2 p. m from their honeymoon at Salt Lake City. A car with several sever-al people met them a few miles above town, escorting them in and on to Bunkerville on a trailer, then gave them a party at night. A good crowd was present and all joined in games, contests, and old time dancing. danc-ing. Refreshments were .served. Several men arrived here Saturday from Los Angeles en route to the "narrows" to look over that project with a view of constructing a dam to take water out on benches. They report things very favorable. A. J. Barnum, Jr., a victim of malarial ma-larial fever is out this morning after an illness of about ten days. Born, a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Brigham Hardy, Oct. '9; mother and babe doing nicely. The men folks are quite busy gathering gath-ering fall crops and planting grain. |
