Show WASHINGTON ' WASHINGTON, Nov. 5. Relief Society So-ciety conference was held a week ago Sunday and Barbara Zahner and Mattie Tanner were appointed assistants assist-ants to Mrs. Minnie Paxman. Ward conference was held Sunday. Milton E. Moody, superintendent of the stake Sunday school, Arnold ScMappy the stake board and Clara Graff stake secretary, met with us in Sunday school. Willard O. Nisson was chosen ward superintendent with Calvin Cal-vin Hall and Wilford Stephens as counselors, coun-selors, and Inez Larson secretary. President Jos. K. Nicholes was in attendance at our sacrament meeting. At that session Wallace Iverson was chosen president of the Y. M. M. I. A. with Frank Prince and Antone Neil-son Neil-son as assistants. In the Y. L. M. I. A. Caddie Neilson was chosen president wi'h Anna Nisson and Rokah Paxman assistants and Ruth Sorenson secretary secre-tary Mrs. Ivy Hafen was chosen president pres-ident of the Primary and Vilate Neil-son Neil-son and Minnie Schmutz were appointed appoint-ed counselors. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Iverson and Hy-rum Hy-rum Boggs returned home last week from Salt Lake City and other north-em north-em points. Mrs Clara Nisson was operated on at the Washington County hospital on Monday. Mrs. Jessie Jolley was visiting relatives rela-tives here Sunday. r At. and Mrs. Israel ?iln, Sr., Mrs. Antone Neilson, Mrs. Vernal Neilson, Mrs. W. O. Nisson, and Mrs. Israel Nielson, Jr., surprised Mrs. Willard Sorenson at St. George Monday afternoon, after-noon, the occasion being her birthday. Mrs. Prisbrey was visiting her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Schmutz Sunday. Sun-day. Washington is over the top in the matter of New Era subscriptions. Our quota was set at 34, and to date 40 subscriptions have been 'received. Mrs. Barbara Zahner is spending some time at Springdale. The seventh and eighth grades enjoyed en-joyed a Halloween party Wednesday evening. Mrs. Caddie Neilson entertained the Les Amies club Thursday afternoon. |
