Show j BULLDOG BAND CONCERT ENJOYED A concert given here Monday night by the Bulldog band of the j Pasadena junior college of Cali-. Cali-. fornia, was enjoyed by one of the largest audiences that had ever assembled for such an j entertainment. The proceeds of j the event, which neared $160, . were given to the St. George ! South ward chapel building ! fund. j Those who saw and heard the I band agreed that the boys, garbed garb-ed in cardinal and white, imme-j imme-j diately won their hearts in a distinctly collegia'te manner. ! The program combined classical clas-sical music and episodal themes in one huge and entertaining I event. Director Audre L. Stong kept the program going with speed and interest. Several specialty spe-cialty numbers were played by groups between numbers given ; by the entire band. The young men left here Tues-j Tues-j day morning and on the trip ! to Cedar City were accompanied by Al Thorley who pointed but to them some of the natural ! wonders of the region including I the Hurricane fault, Pine Val- ley mountain and the location of : Zion national park. |
