Show 1 ' " ROCKVILLE ROCKVILLE, March 21. The Relief Society celebrated their 90th anniversary Thursday with a lawn party. A large crowd was present and a most enjoy- 1 able time was spent. 1 Claud Hirschi of Hurrciane, Howard Ruesch of Springdale and Mrs. Mina Hinton of Hurricane Hur-ricane were home missionaries ' here Sunday. Antone Moody took a carload of students to St. George Friday Fri-day to participiate in the spelling spell-ing contest. Grant Langston and Miss Cot-tam, Cot-tam, iteacher trainers from the Dixie college, will substitute for the regular teachers here this week. Mr. and Ms. Richard DeMille, Rulon Langston, Gordon Jones and Miss Arvilla Graff attended the junior prom at Hurricane Friday. The Boy Scouts staged a boxing box-ing card here last Friday tor the purpose of raising funds for their summer camp. A good crowd was present and some fine bouts put on. This community appreciates the work of Antone Moody and Gordon Jones with the boys. They took a hike to Shonesburg Saturday. Horace DeMille had the misfortune mis-fortune to break his arm when he fell while wrestling with a school companion Monday. He was taken to Hurricane where the limb was set by Dr. E. C. Mclntire. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Jennings entertained the members of the Ono club at progressive rook on Sunday evening. First prize was won by Mr. Jennings. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Terry, j Mr. and Mrs. John A. Allred j and Mrs. David Dennett spent 'Sunday at La Verkin. Mrs. Afton Ballard spent the week end visiting relatives in St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Guy DeMille spent Saturday in Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mahan and Miss Arvilla Graff were guests of Bishop and Mrs. P. Jones Sunday. |
