Show CEDAR MAN DIES IN AUTO CRASH George Urie Hunter, 3 6, of Cedar City, was killed in an automobile au-tomobile accident Sunday evening eve-ning when the car in which he was riding overturned on the Cedar canyon highway at a point one mile from town. Four other occupants of the machine, Leonard Leon-ard Green, Albert Nelson, A. L. Leeker, and Archie Gregory, also of Cedar City, were only slightly scratched and bruised. The car, driven by Mr. Green, was passing a wagon load of logs on the rear of which a horse was tied. The animal swerved into the pathway of the car, and in the attempt to evade a collision, the vehicle overturned, over-turned, crashing down a sharp dugway and landing in a creek bed. Hunter was pinned underneath under-neath the car and suffered instantaneous in-stantaneous death, due to a skull fracture. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Leona Rosenburg Hunter, five children, his mother, Mrs. Sarah Hunter, five brothers' and four sisters. |
